Rack Jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

Then

Dumbell shoulder press 5-5-5-5-5

WOD Notes: The rack jerk is a variation on the split jerk (a shoulder-to-overhead movement) where the barbell starts on your back. Most athletes will be able to lift MUCH more this way as compared to a conventional split jerk (where the bar starts in front of your body).  Compare 1RM rack jerk to 121012.

Dang! I called it that T would break 200 today…. But I didn’t expect her to break it by 10%!! 🙂 Way to go lady!

    2. Sara R.

      I did 20 and I think Jacki did 25.

13.5 prediction – AMRAP in 10 minutes of: 20 pull ups, 20 back squats (225/135), 20 C2B pull ups, 20 front squats (225/135), 20 bar muscle ups, 20 overhead squats (225/135) Bar always starts on the floor.

Thanks everyone! My predictions for 13.5 is similar to John’s but I think we’ll have to do some sort of rep scheme of heavy overhead squats into thrusters then followed by C2B pull ups. I’m hoping is heavy though. Or Dave could just be off his rocker and program something like an AMRAP in 10 of back flips in which we should have an ambulance on stand by with a neck brace for me.

      Awesome job, T!!

John, I actually like your little ladder but I think it’ll be something like this…

    14min Amrap
    50 pull-ups
    50 back squats (135)
    50 chest to bar
    50 front squats (135)
    50 bar muscle ups
    50 overhead squats (135)

    …or…

    10min AMRAP
    21 back squats (135)
    21 pull-ups
    15 front squats (135)
    15 chest to bar
    9 overhead squats (135)
    9 bar muscle ups

    …or…

    10min AMRAP
    21 back squats
    15 front squats
    9 overhead squats
    21 pull-ups
    15 chest to bar
    9 bar muscle ups

Having Froning/Khalipa and Camille/Briggs means it’s going to be HEAVY! So any of my above weights could be anywhere from 135-210#
