Community Notes: Happy Birthday Rick and Nadine!!

Nutrition Challenge:  The winter nutrition challenge starts up this Monday.  Here’s a little more info on what this challenge entails:

  • When:  The challenge will run 4 weeks from Monday, 2/2 until Sunday 3/1.  This will take us through the first CrossFit Open competition workout.
  • Why:  Several reasons!  Many of us have fallen out of an ideal diet since the holidays and this is a great way to get started back on the right track.  It also allows any competitors to have a solid 4 weeks of perfect eating so they can give their best in the Open.  It is usually easier to stick to a plan when your friends are in it with you!
  • What:  The two basic plans to follow are either gluten free/sugar free or strict paleo.  If you are interested, you should choose one of these two and stick with it mercilessly for 4 weeks.  Unlike the fall challenge there is no competitive aspect here.  We recommend that you take bodyweight and hip/waist measurements at the start and end for your own vindication but they are not required.  If there is a benchmark workout you would like to use to track your athletic progress, feel free to complete it at open gym on Saturday or on make up night next week.
