Beef, it’s what’s for dinner, again!

CutsOfBeefHey all, its beef ordering time again!  I spoke with Rineer Family Farms, who many of our members already use for a supply of grassfed beef, and he is willing to split up a couple cows for the gym if we want them.  The order will consist of about 50 to 60 pounds (about 1/8th of a cow) of pasture raised beef with an assortment of cuts.  You can see the complete list of cuts here.  The cost per 1/8 is $400 but drops to $375 if we order 4 or more and $360 if we order 16 or more.  The deadline to let us know will be June 24th and the beef should be ready by mid to late July.

    Awww, looking at the picture of this adorable cow and how it’s to be cut up into flank steaks and rump roasts really makes me want to become a vegan like my daughter. Poor cow! 🙁

    i got a delivery of beef last time, and it was delicious. i’ve also ordered from Philly Cow Share, but this beef was much more flavorful and the cuts were trimmed much better than the one from PCS. i highly recommend it.

    PS: 1/8 cow fits fine in a standard freezer, even with some other items that might be in there.

    34 pounds ground beef
    2 T bone steaks
    3 Ribeye steaks
    1 porterhouse steak
    1 flat iron steak
    1 brisket
    1 flank steak
    2 soup bones
    1 London Broil
    1 skirt steak
    2 beef chuck roast
    1 rump roast
    1 sirloin steak
    1 beef eye roast
    1 sirloin tip steak
    1 fillet mignon
    two short ribs
    and a chip steak
