Daily WOD – Feb 22, 2012

7am burpees on Wheatland Street - name that CrossFitter!

Choose-your-weight dumbbells or kettlebells, then complete for time:

  • 400m farmer’s carry
  • 21-15-9 of box step ups (24/20″) and power snatch (one arm)
  • 400m farmer’s carry
Any time  you drop your DBs/KBs there is a 3 burpee buy-in to pick them back up.

 

WOD Notes: Today you get to choose your own weight DBs or KBs. As a general guideline, women should be between 10-26.5 lbs, and guys should be between 20-44lbs. Once you pick up your DBs/KBs, you must carry them for the entire WOD! Anytime you drop them to the floor (or rest them on any inanimate object…), it’s a 3 burpee buy in to pick them back up.

If tomorrow morning is really brutally cold, we WILL allow the breakfast club to do the farmer’s walk indoors, so don’t be afraid to show up nice and early. Please remember to sign up for the 6:15am class!

    Is anyone interested in participating in a team competion? Fearless Athletics / CF South Philly is hosting a 6 person team competition on Sunday April 15. See http://fearlessathleticsphilly.com/2012/south-philly-rumble/ for more details. These competitions usually have 3-4 workouts in one day… so they’re fun but long! If more than 3 guys and 3 girls are interested we’d probably select our team based on rankings from the Open. Post your thoughts (and availability)!

    Awesome I’m happy to see there’s so much interest! I wish we could take everyone! I think how we’ll handle it is we’ll offer the team spots to the top 3 guys and 3 girls from ICA in the Open competition. If any of them don’t want to participate, we’ll offer the spot to #4, 5, 6, etc until we have a full team! I registered us today. I’m excited!
