    I’d like to take a moment to thank Nikki for programming that incredible barbell/running WOD from last evening. Last night’s workout was a great indicator of our members’ abilities to have kickass endurance.

    So, the reason I am writing this, is that David, Dan E. and I are all registered for a race on Sunday, September 6, called the Labor Pain. It is a 12 hour event, where us crazies will have that time to run as many 5 mile laps as we can (AMRAP + Trail Running = GENIUS). So, this is where the ICA membership comes in…we need pacers. Really. There are some signficant disances we are trying to hit that day and having company along the trails will help keep us moving and keep us sane.

    SO, we are asking you to consider a 5 mile lap with one of us. We cannot have pacers until after the 2nd lap, so we will not be putting down 5K PR times. There will be plenty of times during the race that walking will be necessary and we’ll need you to remind us of that.

    There is no cost to participate, aside from your time, but if you would like to partake in the food that the race organizers put out, they do ask for a pacer fee. Details are here: http://www.pretzelcitysports.com/laborpain.html
