Complete 5 rounds for time of:
- Overhead walking lunge (45/25# plate), 50 feet
- 21 burpees
WOD Notes: This is an oldie but goodie from the vaults of the main page (www.crossfit.com)! This workout was first posted in 2005 and was repeated in 2007, 2009, and 2010. Note – unlike the video, you must clap overhead on your burpees, and we are using plates not barbells for the lunges. The back knee should “kiss” the ground on each step of the walking lunge.

I thought I was seeing things when I seen Kevin’s name in this morning’s results. That’s a lot of Burpees for Monday morning.
Kevin obviously couldn’t stay away from this awesome WOD. He was so excited for it, he could barely sleep. When he woke up this morning, he knew he couldn’t wait until the end of the day to give it a try, so he made an appearance at the 6:15am class. I bet he shows up to do it again tonight, just b/c it was so much fun the first time around 🙂
Hahaha!! He talked about it ALL night guys, like a 4 year old on Christmas! I can assure you that it had nothing to do with a business dinner tonight or Holly and I completing a fundamentals class this morning…if there’s burpees involved, count Kev in! 😉
I have no love for burpees but I love the challenger of doing them paired with another exercise! Working 3-11 so I did the wod in my basement about ten minutes ago. Completed in 14:40. See ya guys Tues, hey Nikki can I bring Meghan in with me or do you guys want her to have an appointment first?

I am always encouraged by how happy everyone is at 6 am. Matt, Mike, Lindsey and Emily were all smiling again.
That said, I was not. I did find it funny that rounds 4 and 5 felt better than 1 – 3. This was good to do today, as always it’s good to see the breakfast crew. You won’t see me for a while.
I’m glad everyone enjoys my AM misery. My body just doesn’t work that early.
