  • Row (1 cal=1 rep)
  • Thrusters (95/65# or 65/45# for teens)

WOD Notes:  The scaled version of this workout will have thrusters at 65/45#).

Community Notes:  If you are going to the showing of “Blazing Saddles” this weekend, make sure to grab tickets at the gym.  We still have about 30!

    Little strategy for rowing for calories using fractional strokes… for FGB but could still apply for this workout.

    For classes larger than 10 people we’ll need your help to accommodate this wod in 2 heats! Some athletes (not officially registered for the Open) will sub one 10m shuttle run for each calorie on the rower. Volunteers welcome!

    Another great read on Rowing for Calories versus Meters – yes there is a big difference! To sum it up – the faster you row, the more calories you burn and the less meters you row. An advantage for our taller athletes, BUT, BUT BUT, our shorter athletes clearly have the thruster advantage here, so a pretty even swap! http://ctowncrossfit.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/36/files/2014/12/Rower-Data.pdf
