The 20 rep max requires some real strategy. Go too low and you won’t have much left in the tank to try again. Go too high and you’ll fail. Curious to see some numbers on this.

  2. John

Me too Joe, I’m real intrigued to see what happens to broad jumps after the squats. The early morning saw a couple people improve their jumps. Crazy!

  3. Ben

After stretching the hamstrings with a loaded set of 20 (maybe multiple times), yeah I can see that.

  4. Rick

Just throwing this out there, I was the Broad Jump champ at Holy Cross school in 1989. Not so much on the back squats though. Should be fun.

  5. Ben

…and what distance made you the champ, champ? I am so beating you today for that comment, chicken legs and all!

  6. Paul

Oh jeez. Hey John open the garage door so Rick can get into class today.

    1. Dave

      Hahaha!!!

    2. Rick

That’s funny Paul, and Ben I have no idea on the distance, 24 years can do that to your memory. Ha ha ha.

I’m pretty sure I showed up to the 5 pm class…

    2. Nikki

Jenn I just realized I missed your name! I’ll add it in the AM! BS was 165 but I forget the broad jumps

    3. Ben

      Nice Jenn, 165 is huge

    4. Jenn

I think my broad jumps were 80″ and the second was 80 1/2″. Only a 1/2 improvement but I’ll take after the squats!!;)
