    Anyone out there a finishing carpenter? I’m redoing my basement (myself) and am looking for someone to work with/teach me for 2-3 days to build some professional looking built in book cases, cabinets, shelves, window seat. (paid of course).

      I have a great guy if you need someone. Just put a fireplace in my house and the guy was incredible. He might be flexible to do something like that if you need. Let me know if you want me to ask. He was very reasonable and extremely cool.

      Laurie is being modest, Rob. Have you ever seen Laurie pound out a bunch of burpees? If you haven’t you really ought to attend the 7pm class t work out with her. She’s The Burpee Queen. I have no reason whatsoever to mislead you.

    Huge day today for muscle uppers! Hats off to Dave on his first bar muscle up, Bryan and Rick on their second muscle ups and Jenn for achieving the goal she’s been aiming at for 2 year, her first ring muscle up!!!

    I just want to thank everyone for being so (not surprisingly) welcoming to my son Quinn who just started ‘real’ WOD’s a few days ago. He has been working out a bit for the last few years, but over dinner (Jess’ tacos) tonight he said, paraphrasing: “Dad, I really like CrossFit. Since it is timed, nobody just stands around. Everyone is so supportive and smiling. It is hard, but I know when I am going to be done so I just keep going.”

    Boy, I know we have all thought and felt the same thing more often then not. As many of you know, kids just warm your heart with their often innocent yet profound insights. Thanks for being awesome and ebullient through the pain.

      Quinn was moving quick today. It is very cool that you’ve gotten both of your kids into crossfit and fitness in general. I hope to get/keep my kids on a similar path.
