Anything by chest to bar works for me

  2. Lindsey

I am hoping for an amrap involving cleans and not anything overhead….

  3. Sabol

Have a bad feeling toes to bar and pistols will be showing up.

    1. Laurie

Wouldn’t mind pistols. At least I can DO them. Toes to bar…not so much.

  4. Nikki

I liked Kehl’s shuttle run idea last week.. they did talk about shuttle runs in the judge’s video. Of course, they also talked about bar MUs… My guess for this week is a ladder of ground to overhead (135/95) and T2B. You’ll need to pass through a full squat on the G2O. Next week will be shuttle runs, OHS and T2B.

  5. Brendan

I was just thinking yesterday how we needed at least 100 squats with weight going overhead, this will def help my legs bend better :/

  6. Kim H.

I’ll agree with OHS and are we thinking HSPUs will show up?

  7. Nikki

Brendan – it’s meant to be really light and impact your lungs much more than your legs! Use the 45# if you’re still too beat up from wall balls. You could also sub burpees and get the same cardio impact if you’d prefer 🙂

    1. Brendan

It wasn’t so bad Nikki, just having some back issues, may not do 13.4 tomorrow. I need some rest time I think.

    2. Nikki

      Take off till Saturday!

  8. Nikki

And Sabol, Laurie and Kim – In the first 2 years of the Open they saved pistols and HPSU for the Regional competitions. So I say its unlikely we’ll see them, but there’s always a chance.

    1. Korba

      HPSU?

  9. John

    My hope:
AMRAP in 4 minutes of deadlift (315/185#)
    My prediction:
AMRAP in 15 of 5 cleans (135/90), 7 C2B pull ups, 9 shuttle runs (scheme stolen from Kehl)

  10. Kehl

I have so many ideas, ugh. Nikki, I agree with the ladder. However, I think it’ll be next week because Froning/khalipa are going head to head. This week is spealler/holmberg so I’m thinking OHS, toes to bar, shuttle run…a 9-12-15 or 15-12-9

Next week I think will be the ladder of squat clean thrusters and chest to bar.

  11. Sabol

WOW! That dude has mad ups!

    1. Lindsey

That is insane….Mark- you have some competition!

  12. Kehl

Joe, what are you Google-ing…ways to knock down kehl? Anyone can jump that high in those shorts. That height was my running box jump height. I seriously couldn’t imagine a standing one at that height…geeze! This guys got some height.

This is why I think running will be involved with spealler and holmberg to let them battle it again.

    1. Chamberlain

Maybe something like the snatch burpee workout, but this time shuttle sprints and cleans.

  13. Barb

O’Neill’s Garage wants to know your numbers…
Barb (solo and not liking thrusters after wallballs )

    1. Sara R.

I’m a little worried I counted wrong and only got 9 rounds! Ugh 🙁

  15. Nikki

I win! I was wrong about the “pass through a full squat” though

    1. Chamberlain

Good call. After what Castro said, we may see that Fran ladder this year afterall. Thank goodness it’s not a full squat clean 13.4!
      Have a safe trip Warneks!

Hey guys, how much weight is going to be used for clean and jerks on 13.4? It didn’t say on the website.

  18. jimbo

Never mind, I found out it was 135# for men and 95# for women.
