Open WOD – Feb 26, 2016

“Open 16.1” – AMRAP in 20 minutes of:
Option A:

  • 25ft OH walking lunges (95/65#)
  • 8 bar facing burpees
  • 25ft OH walking lunges (95/65#)
  • 8 c2b pull ups

Option B:

  • 25ft front rack walking lunges (45/35# bar)
  • 8 bar facing burpees
  • 25ft front rack walking lunges (45/35# bar)
  • 8 jumping pull ups (bar at least 6″ above top of head)

Option C:

  • 25ft plate OH walking lunges (45/25#)
  • 8 burpees over plate
  • 25ft plate OH walking lunges (45/25#)
  • 8 pull ups

WOD Notes:  The first Open workout of the year is a long one!  Please show up BEFORE class start time so we can be prompt.  The warm up will be about 5 minutes for each class and not all encompassing so if you know you’d like to hit mobility or warm up a specific body part (shoulders?) then get there early and do it.  In an effort to get two heats through each class, the first two options listed above will be for people registered for the open or on an ICA team.  All others will complete Option C.

    By the way, I’m going to be doing this workout tomorrow at 9:00 am so if anyone could show up to judge, it would be greatly appreciated. You have to be willing to no rep the guy that runs the gym.

    Forgot to add this to the post! We have three late additions to the in-house competition. Tav is on Team Green, Bob Brown is on Team Blue, and Rob Gardner is on Team Red!

    Hey 4 pm-ers! I will be at the gym early as usual, so please feel free to come in early to get a head start on warming up. We will start at 4:00 on the dot! We will have a warm up but it will be short like Nikki said in the post. This looks fun!!

    Is there any way you can record those who are Rxing this and post on Facebook or UTube?!?! I’d LOVE to see this!!!

    Last night’s broadcast was SOOOO exciting. Love, love, love that they had two novices doing the WOD right next to the elites. I don’t these these two people realize how much they encourage and inspire others to get off their couches and get moving! They are my heros!!
